Meet Sonam Saby: Championing Inclusion in Sport and Beyond
At the heart of Winsher Sports is a powerful vision for change – and the woman leading it, Sonam Saby, lives and breathes that vision every day.
Since 2015, Sonam has been the owner and director of swimming schools located in South Morang and Lilydale, offering lessons to children as young as three months old. But her impact goes far beyond teaching water safety. For over a decade, Sonam has provided free swimming lessons to children and adults from diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs—breaking down barriers and creating safe, inclusive spaces for all.
Her commitment to community and equality is reflected in everything she does. As an AFL Community Ambassador, Sonam actively works to promote diversity, representation, and opportunity at all levels of the game. She is widely respected for using her platforms to uplift voices often left out of the mainstream sporting conversation.
A collaborative discussion with the great leader Mr Ted Baillieu (Former Premier of Victoria) to increase diversity and inclusion within the AFL sports community.
Winsher Sports: Redefining the Game with Purpose and Innovation
Now, as Chief Executive of Winsher Sports, Sonam brings her passion and leadership into the world of sportswear and equipment manufacturing. Winsher Sports isn’t just about producing high-performance gear—it’s about challenging the status quo.
In industries like AFL and soccer, where tradition can often leave little room for innovation or diversity, Winsher is taking a stand.
